2018 - 2021

Indeed is the #1 job site worldwide, with over 250 million unique visitors per month. I led the Seattle and Tokyo Incubator sites with a total of 10 product teams focused on rapidly testing a large number of new product ideas for radically improving hiring. Incubator Products consistently got “acquired” by the core teams as well as became standalone products. Incubator launched what became the 3rd-highest revenue product at Indeed. Core to Indeed product strategy and reporting directly to CEO, the Incubator emulates a real world startup environment as practically as possible within the context of a large enterprise. We accomplish this through: pitch-based metered funding, decision-making autonomy, providing advisors(not managers) and scaling funding - Angel, Seed, Series A. Shutdowns were celebrated.

Seed-stage startup that brings transparency to education by helping parents and students simply and visually understand and compare their academic performance. - Founded the company, hired a team of five, ran every aspect of the company - from coding and running payroll to data acquisition based on state-specific laws. - Obtained and integrated anonymized student achievement data from over 150 agencies (Federal, State, County and School District level entities) covering ~ 35% of high school students in the US.

Joined as engineer #3, became the highest-rated engineering manager at what has become a publicly traded company. -Built and managed a team of 15 developers, designers and contractors responsible for the web & mobile product layers, as well as integrations with 3rd party wearable devices. -Received an average score of 3.9 (on a 4.0 scale) on an anonymous management performance survey of direct reports as a part of the company's yearly review. -Enabled first in industry customer experience by implementing integration framework with major fitness tracking devices and apps like fitbit, runkeeper, etc.

Software Design Engineer

2010 - 2013

As one would expect from an early stage start-up engineer wore many hats, worked on virtually every aspect of the product up and down the stack from database to front-end UI. Some of the project highlights: -asynchronous reports and uploads: developed end-to-end on-demand asynchronous reports solution that enabled users to run unlimited number of reports(and later uploads) in an asynchronous, distributed manner. (js, AppFabric, In-house queue and server load balancing solution) - Enabled first in industry customer experience by implementing integration framework with major fitness tracking devices and apps like fitbit, runkeeper, etc.
