Work Experience

  • Software Engineer

    2024 - Current

Transitioned away from operations as the company grew in order to focus deeply on building the high performance software for the next generation of unmanned systems. So far, have worked on a PX4-based flight control stack. Tested in SITL, HITL and real flight. I've written dozens of drivers (custom I2C boards/devices, CAN-based engine control units, ethernet radios, etc...), off-board modules (guidance computer data streams), apps for ground control stations, realtime/redundant radio telemetry from our custom components, and more.

  • Operations (Engineer)

    2023 - 2024

Created the formal hiring org (12 -> 50+ people), architected the people/IT systems, and many special projects with our CEO. We closed a $70M series A, moved from Texas to California, flew vehicles in front of government customers, hired industry veterans and exceptional youth, set a hardcore culture, and expanded the horizon of our mission.

Mach Industries provides defence systems technology that creates a hardware solution using field-sourced hydrogen creation and techniques.

Raised $84,700,000.00 from Marque Ventures, Bedrock and DCVC.

  • Junior Partner

    2022 - 2023

Sourced, selected, invested, and supported crypto startups, building a portfolio of almost 100 companies. Led Mechanism's investment in Morpho ($2B+ outcome). Discovered and executed multiple trades for the trading desk, most notably an extremely levered USDC repeg trade. Spent time replacing traditional analyst responsibilities with AI, fully automated from received materials in any channel to investment meeting review.

  • Analyst

Built and managed Underscore’s pipeline tools for investment opportunities, automated data synchronization for portfolio databases, and worked with Richard (partner) to select interesting opportunities across software disciplines.
