DataOps Engineer

2022 - 2024

As a DataOps Engineer, I led the migration of our database from PostgreSQL to Snowflake, establishing a robust control system to ensure data quality and integrity. This project involved enhancing deployment pipelines for production and development within GitLab CI/CD and making significant improvements to the Dockerfile to optimize base image construction utilized in EKS. In my dual role as a Data Engineer and DevOps, I collaborated in the management and monitoring of services on EKS, ensuring that Kubernetes clusters operated efficiently and effectively. I was also responsible for the administration of roles and permissions in GitLab and created the team's Gitflow workflow to optimize work processes and enhance team collaboration. A significant portion of my time was dedicated to automating processes using DAGs in Airflow, which included data ingestion and transformation tasks.

Data Engineer

2021 - 2022

During my time working as a Data Engineer in the company's Datalake, I was responsible for ingesting various data sources, including relational and non-relational databases, both on-premises and in the cloud. Additionally, I integrated systems through APIs, S3 buckets, and other mechanisms, in order to store this data in the datalake. As part of my duties, I was in charge of creating and optimizing ETL processes, using tools such as Python, Nifi, Airflow, and Snowflake. During my performance, I managed AWS services, such as Lambda, S3, EC2, Athena, DynamoDB, and others.

Data Engineer (NaranjaX)

2021 - 2021

During my experience at NaranjaX, I had the opportunity to work in the Datalake and carry out various data ingestion processes using a variety of methods, such as transferring data from S3 to S3, extracting information from APIs and relational databases, among others. Additionally, I designed and created ETL processes using tools like Nifi and conducted failure testing in the pipeline to ensure its proper functioning. Among the tools I have used are Nifi, Sqoop, EMR, Glue, Lambda, S3, Cloudwatch, EC2, Athena, DynamoDB, Snowflake, among others.

Data Engineer (ICBC Bank)

2020 - 2021

I was in charge of data engineering in a major database migration project, where I worked on mapping matrices, report generation, metadata comparison, control over different migration process modules, among others.

Data Engineer (Apex)

2020 - 2021

I worked as the head of ETL processes, quality control of information, and monitoring of directories and files. My work included developing, testing, and maintaining the pipeline, creating new functions, error correction, and implementing automations, among others. Additionally, I was responsible for defining, creating, configuring, and orchestrating workflows in Nifi.

Automotive Technician

2015 - 2015

During my experience as a Toyota automotive technician, I performed a variety of critical tasks for the proper operation and safety of vehicles. This included performing quality controls, verifying and repairing various components of the vehicles, as well as assembling and disassembling parts. Additionally, I specialized in identifying and solving problems related to engines and gearboxes, using specialized tools and techniques to locate faults and carry out necessary repairs.

During my work experience, I have developed skills in handling all types of machine tools, as well as assembling and disassembling telecommunications equipment and manufacturing metal structures. Additionally, I have experience in electric arc welding and in logistics and stock control, among other skills and tasks.
