Overview
Work Experience
Advisory Board Member
2013 - Current
SVP Product
2020 - 2024
As SVP Product, I was responsible for 500+ employees, ~200 in Product, and ~300 in the businesses of FollowUpBoss, Spruce, and Trulia which contributed $200m in ARR. My organization was responsible for all consumer experiences across the Zillow brands, along with all the operator/partner experiences that service those customers. We have been delivering consumers an industry leading integrated purchase transaction (search & find + agent & tour + mortgage & close) which has helped Zillow outperform the residential real estate industry by 33% from 2022 to 2024. Selected Achievements: * Significantly increased the volume and quality of leads to Premier Agents after acquiring ShowingTime (Feb 2021 - $500m) and introducing real-time tour scheduling to consumers, with fulfillment delivered by Premier Agents, growing this product to be the majority of connections delivered to Premier Agents.. * Tripled Purchase Mortgage Origination volume and grew Premier Agent loan attribution from 5% to 60% after taking over the Product org of Zillow’s nascent mortgage business in 2021 (1st party lending and origination), immediately replacing the leadership, resetting the responsibilities with engineering and business, and creating new roadmaps focused on integrated transactions. * 3x local market share gains from the launch of Zillow’s newest initiative, Enhanced Markets, starting with two test markets and then a nationwide operation, transforming how Zillow works with consumers and agent partners and scaling post-pay transaction fee bookings from <10% to 27%. * Acquired FollowUpBoss (Sep 2023 - $500m), the CRM SaaS used by leading Premier Agents, enhanced it with deeper Zillow customer and loan officer integrations, paired with AI, and then migrated the majority of Premier Agents to the platform for significant revenue and productivity gains. * Acquired Spruce (Aug 2023 - $24m), to integrate the closing experience into the integrated purchase transaction.
SVP & GM StreetEasy and Zillow NYC
2018 - 2020
Prior to my promotion to SVP Product, I led StreetEasy (the largest real estate app in NYC), which was a full P&L $85m/yr business composed of 130 staff across Product, Engineering, Marketing, Design, Sales, and Support. With my leadership, we quietly prepared for an abrupt change in the way sales and rental listings were delivered to StreetEasy in anticipation of collusion among the largest NY brokerages attempting to disrupt our business by halting their feeds to StreetEasy on the same day. StreetEasy swiftly managed the change and emerged with more accurate listings and less future risk to brokerage-caused disruptions.
VP Strategy
2012 - 2018
Prior to my promotion to SVP & GM StreetEasy, I helped Zillow acquire StreetEasy (Aug 2013 - $50m - the largest real estate app in NYC), rebuild the Engineering org with 40% Eastern European contractors, launch the innovative Rentals monetization product that charged agents a fee per day to reduce stale listings, create the building database and amenities search, and massively grow audience via an award winning website redesign and creation of the first StreetEasy iOS and Android mobile apps.
