Funding our plant-based future… Veg Capital was founded to provide early-stage funding to innovative companies developing plant-based alternatives to meat, seafood, dairy, and eggs. In our early years, we focused on Angel, Seed, and Series A investments, typically ranging from £100,000 to £250,000, supporting pioneering startups that were disrupting the conventional food system. As our portfolio has grown over the last five years, we have evolved our strategy to focus on consolidation, mergers & acquisitions (M&A), and scaling our existing brands. Rather than deploying new capital, we are now dedicated to supporting and strengthening the companies we have invested in, helping them navigate challenges, achieve commercial success, and create lasting impact in the plant-based sector. At Veg Capital, we believe that conventional animal agriculture is inefficient, unsustainable, and in need of urgent transformation. Our work is driven by the goal of accelerating a plant-based food system that is scalable, affordable, and accessible. 💡 Impact-Driven Investment All profits made by Veg Capital will be donated to effective UK and European charities that raise awareness of farmed animal suffering, the environmental impact of animal agriculture, and the benefits of plant-based eating.

Who knew the revolution would come with a side of fries? We did. 🍟 We set out to make great-tasting food that doesn’t cost a wing and a leg. We took fresh, wholesome plants, worked some magic, then deep-fried them to create the most amazing Vegan Fried Chick*n. 🍽️ What we s̶t̶a̶n̶d̶ sit for: We visited a chicken farm. What we saw shocked us. We knew that we had to do better than this, and VFC was born. Now the best chicken comes from plants. See for yourself: https://vfcfoods.com/mission/ Ours is an act of positive rebellion against a system that has brought us climate change, environmental destruction, factory farming and slaughterhouses. We applaud those who fight serious injustice with placards and demonstrations, with letters to MPs. We salute those who take to the streets with megaphones or lock themselves to railings. Our way to dismantle this destructive system is with great food. This is our sit-down protest. 🍗 We fried chick*n instead of the planet.

The FIT Show is the UK’s leading trade exhibition for the window, door, and conservatory industry, bringing together manufacturers, suppliers, and installers to showcase the latest innovations, technology, and solutions. I co-founded the FIT Show in 2011 alongside my business partner, Paul Godwin, with the first event taking place at the Telford International Centre in 2013. Launching a new industry trade show is always a challenge, but FIT Show was a success from the outset, generating strong industry engagement and commercial success. After two further events in Telford, we expanded to the NEC Birmingham in 2017, significantly increasing the show’s footprint and impact. In 2019, FIT Show was acquired by Montgomery Group, a leading global exhibitions company specializing in industry trade shows. Montgomery Group now fully operates FIT Show, ensuring its continued growth and influence within the fenestration sector. The next FIT Show will take place from 29 April to 1 May 2025 at NEC Birmingham, providing a vital platform for industry professionals to connect, network, and explore the latest advancements in fenestration. ➡️ Learn more: https://www.fitshow.co.uk

Conservatory Outlet is a leading UK manufacturer of PVCu windows, doors, and conservatories, supplying a nationwide network of regional dealers. I co-founded the business with my brother as the manufacturing arm of West Yorkshire Windows, developing a unique dealership model that provided not only high-quality products but also sophisticated marketing support and lead generation for regional installers. While many trade manufacturers focused solely on product, price, and service, we differentiated Conservatory Outlet by offering a comprehensive growth strategy to help our dealers succeed. In February 2014, I sold the business to co-Directors Michael Giscombe and Greg Kane, who have since continued to scale Conservatory Outlet into a highly successful and profitable company.
