Work Experience
Seed VC Analyst
2025 - Current
We back bold founders from the very beginning—investing at the earliest stages to help turn cutting-edge ideas into the companies of the future. Since launching in April 2021, we’ve raised €58M, made 50+ investments, and are scaling fast. As an analyst, I’m involved across the full venture funnel: sourcing new deals, meeting inspiring entrepreneurs, and evaluating early-stage startups in Deep Tech, Health Tech, Digital Tech, and Climate Tech. Alongside the front-facing work, I also contribute on the backend—building internal tools and workflows to help us track, analyze, and act on our growing data.
Pitch Instructor
2023
As an instructor at QPitch, I’ve delivered 20+ pitch workshops to over 100 students across Delft and surrounding cities. These sessions focus on building confidence, sharpening storytelling, and helping students and student board members master the art of a clear and compelling pitch. Each workshop is a mix of theory and hands-on practice—geared toward real-world use in everything from funding competitions to networking events. It’s incredibly rewarding to help others discover their voice and learn how to present their ideas with clarity and impact.
Venture Scout
2022
From 50 billion tonnes of CO2e to Zero. A transition that will save the planet and create a multi-trillion-dollar market. Extantia partners with pioneers that capture this once-in-a-generation business opportunity and work to remove past and future emissions. Extantia means “going beyond”. Let’s go together.
Visiting Analyst
2024 - 2024
I spent six incredible months at Extantia—a €200M+ early-stage climate tech VC fund—where I got to be right at the intersection of deeptech, sustainability, and startups. It was a steep learning curve, but one I absolutely loved. I was surrounded by brilliant, supportive colleagues who gave me the space to learn fast and contribute meaningfully from day one. My work focused heavily on tech deep dives across the climate frontier: marine energy, atmospheric power generation, every flavor of hydrogen, and more. I spent loads of hours digging into geological hydrogen, leading due diligence work that contributed to a major investment in Vema Hydrogen. Outside of research and analysis, I upgraded Extantia’s full internal AI tech stack—building generative tools, integrations, flagging systems, and workflow automations to make the team’s work smoother and faster. The best part was meeting and learning from countless inspiring founders and collegues. From pitch calls to climate events across Europe, I had the privilege of listening to people who are literally building the future—and got to ask them questions, challenge ideas, and cheer them on.
Marketing and Community
2022 - 2025
At the Delft Centre of Entrepreneurship (DCE), I’m supporting the marketing and community strategy to help inspire and guide students on their entrepreneurial journeys during their time at TU Delft. My role includes assisting students as they navigate the world of startups and innovation—whether they’re just exploring ideas or already working on ventures. I help make sure they’re connected to the right people, resources, and opportunities, and contribute to building a vibrant, supportive community around entrepreneurship at the university.
Teaching Assistant - Process Engineering and Thermodynamics
2024 - 2025
I supported the practical component of WB2543, a course introducing Mechanical Engineering students to key thermodynamic setups and concepts. My role was to guide students during lab sessions, answer questions, and help them connect theory to hands-on experiments—ensuring they got the most out of their first real look at process engineering in action.
Founder
2023 - 2024
Together with Janik Slob, I co-founded STRYM during our studies, inspired by the potential of olivine to naturally and effectively fight climate change. Our focus was on using olivine—a mineral rich in magnesium and iron—to accelerate oceanic carbon sequestration. By integrating it into sandbanks or ship-based systems, we aimed to harness its CO₂-reactive properties at scale. We also explored the chemistry behind olivine–seawater reactions for clean hydrogen production and brought STRYM into several startup competitions and programs like the Impact Contest Delft and ClimateLaunchpad. We pitched, prototyped, won prizes, and learned a ton along the way. Eventually, we decided to put STRYM on ice—for now. Market dynamics (and the reality of being full-time students) made it tough to continue at full speed. But it’s not a closed chapter—it’s in the freezer, waiting for the right time to bring it back out.
Advisory Board Member
2022 - 2024
Chair - Board Member
2021 - 2022
As Chair of Dutch Students for Entrepreneurship, I had the chance to lead a national student board working to connect student-led startup communities across the Netherlands. During the year, we organized nationwide meetups, took a full-on bus tour to visit five student startup hubs, revamped our website, and recruited the next generation of board members.
Tour Guide
2021 - 2024
Had the chance to introduce many groups to YES!Delft and everything that makes it such a great place for startups to grow.
Data-analyst
2022 - 2023
While scouting startups at YES!Delft, it became clear that we were sitting on a lot of useful data—just not using it in a structured way. Together with the team, I worked on building a dashboard that gave us clearer insight into startup engagement: everything from community involvement and traction to their position in the funding cycle. We also introduced a red/orange/green flag system to help signal when startups might benefit from additional support—like expert office hours, funding advice, or just a strategic check-in. It helped the team respond more proactively, and made our support efforts more data-driven without losing the human side.
Startup Scout
2022 - 2022
As a startup scout at YES!Delft, I screened hundreds of early-stage tech startups applying to the Validation Lab and Accelerator programs. From pitch decks to founder calls, I was deep in the startup pipeline—evaluating potential, spotting red flags, and helping connect promising teams to the right opportunities. It was a crash course in tech trends, founder ambition, and what makes a startup tick. On top of that, I supported the wider TU Delft startup ecosystem, helping to keep the community active, ambitious, and just a little bit more awesome.
Co-Chair
2021 - 2022
Founder & Chair
2020 - 2021
RISE NL was born out of a simple but frustrating gap: there was no real collaboration between student-led entrepreneurship communities across the Netherlands. So we decided to fix that. Inspired by the kind of big, unifying startup events we saw happening abroad, we launched RISE as a yearly national initiative—with students, for students. Even during COVID, we pulled it off: 12 student startup communities joined forces, we hosted dragons' den-style competitions with real startups pitching, and hundreds of people joined workshops, panels, and pitches online. We built bridges between cities, sparked conversations between founders and future founders, and laid the foundation for something that could keep growing for years to come.
Marketing & Community / Board Member
2020 - 2021
This was my full-time board year and one of the most intense and rewarding things I’ve ever done. Alongside my amazing board team, we had to completely rethink how to run a student startup organisation during a pandemic. We pivoted fast, supported each other through chaos, and still made big things happen. I helped shape the Student Startup Program, managed and coached a team of 52 committee members, and pushed our digital presence forward in a way that’s still paying off. It was a year full of late nights, last-minute fixes, incredible people, and so much personal growth. I learned how to manage my time (and sometimes how not to), how I like to enjoy my work, and what kind of challenges make me tick.
Marketing Inspirational Lecture Committee
