During my placement in Okhaldhunga, Nepal, I worked on child protection and education initiatives as part of the ECHAV ESC Humaid Project. I facilitated workshops for children aged 9–15 on leadership, communication, and project management, while also supporting the creation and operation of Children’s Clubs. These clubs empowered children to participate in school decision-making through elected roles like President or Secretary. I delivered training to local teachers on child-friendly practices and participatory learning, and I adapted content to suit children with limited English proficiency. Additionally, I led awareness sessions on menstrual health and contributed to creative literacy projects such as school wall magazines. My approach emphasized empathy, inclusion, and non-violent communication to create a safe, respectful learning environment.
